Your Guide
Captain Rick is U.S. Coast Guard licensed, with years of experience guiding and hosting anglers from all corners
of the world. He knows from experience where to go at different times, and what the best methods are. Fishing
the same areas day-in and day-out, knowing what works best under all conditions and helping you improve your
fishing techniques and knowledge of the river are the skills he shares with his customers. The 1000 Islands can be
an overwhelming sight of islands, shoals and underwater rock piles with depths with no apparent pattern that can
be puzzling to the average angler. Captain Rick can provide a wealth of information in a day's outing.
The Charter Boat
The charter boat for fishing and river tours is a 27 foot Sport Craft Coastal Fisherman. It is fully equipped with the
latest in electronics, fishing gear and safety equipment. A heated cabin for those cold fall days, and an enclosed
marine toilet.
Raymarine radar, sonar, GPS, and chart mapping. Cannon down riggers and out riggers.
Fishing Licenses
You will need a N.Y. State fishing license - available locally. Licenses are not required for anyone under 16 years of
age.
Canadian fishing licenses are also recommended as over half of the fishing is in Canadian waters. These can be
obtained at www.tibait.com
Please check with your guide as to which licenses you will need at least a week prior to your trip.
What You Should Bring
To make the most of your trip, you'll need to bring along appropriate clothing for the time of year, non-slip shoes,
rain gear, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, camera & film, lunch and beverages of choice, and a cooler to take your catch
home. Note: Children under 12 years of age must wear a U.S.C.G. approved PDF, while underway. Check with
your guide for availability.
Have a Large Group or Party?
Arrangements can be made for a fleet of 12+ guide boats for large groups or parties. We can accommodate
groups of 100 or more people, including the Traditional Shore Dinner. For customized or combination charters and
